Town Names Layman Director of Doko Manor and Park.

BLYTHEWOOD – Interim Town Administrator Daniel Stines announced at the June 22 council meeting that Fred Layman of Bly- thewood has been named event director of Doko Manor and Park.

Fred Layman is a results-focused leader offering a broad scope of public and private sector experience,” Stines said when introducing Layman at the meeting. “His experience specializes in facility management and promotion, budget development, administration, sales and marketing policy development, and contract development.”

Stines said Layman’s employment background includes general manager of the Windermere Club, North Augusta Country Club, and Event Center as well as the Mount Vintage Athletic Club.

“He has an extensive entrepreneurial background and his formal education is in business administration,” Stines said.

Layman, who has lived in Blythewood for seven years, said he and his family have been welcomed.

“We live, eat, and breathe Doko Manor Park,” he said. “We love it. As I embark on this new journey in my career, I bring a background with me that spans both the public and private sectors. I believe this unique perspective will allow me to serve as a bridge connecting multiple aspects of the community and helping to shape the future of our fantastic facilities. I see this role as an opportunity to contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of Blythewood.

“I’m eager to work with all stakeholders to assure the Manor and Doko Park remain a beacon of excellence,” Layman said. He said he’s looking forward to it and is truly dedicated to the task at hand.

“I’m confident,” he said, “that together we can build a bright new future for Doko Manor and Doko Park.”

Layman named new Doko Manor and Park Events Director

BLYTHEWOOD The Town of Blythewood announced at the July 22 Town Council meeting that Fred Layman III had been named the new Doko Manor and Doko Meadows Park Event Director.

The Town of Blythewood announced that Fred Layman III has been named the new Doko Manor and Doko Meadows Park Event Director. Layman, pictured, lives in Blythe- wood with his wife Michelle and their six children. The couple is also expecting their seventh child.

Interim Town Administrator Daniel Stines introduced Layman, “Fred Layman is a results-focused leader offering the broad scope of public and private sector experience. Mr. LayMan’s experiences specialize in facility management and promotion budget development, administration, sales and marketing policy development, and contract development.” Layman’s employment background includes the positions of general manager of the Windermere Club, North Augusta Country Club, and Event Center, and the Mount Vintage Athletic Club. He was also an employee of the Foothills Park and Recreation District in Wilmington, Colorado. He previously served as the founder and Chief Operations Officer of Fred Layman Ventures, LLC, a hospitality and lifetime sports consult- ing company.

Layman addressed the Council, “I bring with me a background that spans both public and private sectors. I believe that this unique perspective will allow me to serve as a bridge connecting multiple aspects of the community and helping to shape the

future of our fantastic facilities. The Manor and Doko Meadows Park holds a special place in the hearts of me and our community- ty and I am committed to upholding this legacy while also working towards its continued growth and success.”

Layman will take over for Steve Hasterock who has served as Interim Director for the town.
